Merch designs for John Mulaney’s Mister Whatever Tour 2025

For the Mister Whatever tour, we created a coordinated shirt and hat that leaned into a vintage merch sensibility. The graphic direction drew inspiration from retro advertisements and vintage album artwork, using bold typography with shadows and strong color blocking. The embroidered hat features a throwback shape element and is finished with a rope detail for contrast.

Merch designs for John Mulaney’s 2024 Hollywood Bowl show

The first design highlighted “LA,” a nod to the premiere of his live Netflix show Everybody’s in LA and his performance at the Hollywood Bowl. The graphic direction drew inspiration from vintage album artwork, with bold, straightforward typography that carried a strong visual punch. For the second chosen design, we developed halftones of the Hollywood Bowl image and layered in custom type and stars, pulling inspiration from vintage posters and ticket stubs. We especially liked how the design inverted on a black shirt, giving it a bold, classic tour-merch feel.
