MAP IDENTITY

Bringing Formula 1® to the Las Vegas Strip meant reimagining how fans would navigate the sport’s newest, most spectacular setting. Previous maps highlighted the challenge of translating a multi-zone street circuit into a single, intuitive fan experience. The Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix approached our team to redesign the official circuit and zone maps from the ground up — creating a sleek, functional, and branded system that elevated both usability and aesthetics into a seamless fan journey.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

One of our primary goals was for the digital map designs to support the fan's UX during ticket purchase. By clarifying each zone’s location, layout, and partner features, we aimed to make the selection process intuitive and help fans visualize their on-site experience.

To achieve this, we established a cohesive design system balancing clarity and usability with bold, on-brand aesthetics. The full-circuit map provides an overview of the race layout, while smaller, simplified inset maps were created for each zone to support their respective ticketing pages. Each zone is paired with its partner and assigned a distinct brand color, while the race track and surrounding partner hotels were created in a uniform, sleek silver treatment to reflect the glamorous sophistication of the Strip.

This combination of consistency and color-coded differentiation ensures fans can quickly orient themselves and understand their experience at a glance.

The maps were designed with future interactivity in mind. Once implemented by the Las Vegas Grand Prix's development team, users could click on a zone in the full-circuit map to reveal its corresponding inset view, creating a dynamic, user-friendly digital experience.

This functionality directly supports the ticketing process, helping fans explore each zone, understand its layout, and make informed decisions as they select their tickets online.
